Hello Trojans, with the health and safety of you and our staff in mind, along with following CDC guidelines, the Colby Bookstore is responding to student needs by modifying our store operations in order to provide you the safest options for returning your Fall 2020 rental textbooks.

There are 3 easy options for returning your rental books!  Details on all 3 options can be found below.

If you are unsure of the rentals you have out contact us using your preferred method, provide your Student ID number and full name, and we can let you know your rental titles! 

If you need to keep your rental books and wish to purchase them please contact us and we will process your rental book 'buyout' for you!

Option 1:  Bring Them To Campus

  • Drop them off inside the Trojan Trading Post during normal business hours.

 

Option 2: Contactless Dropbox

  • This is a contact free way for students currently on campus to return their books to a secure location.  Make sure your name is clearly visible on the back of each book. If it is not, please write it inside the front cover. 

 

 

 

Option 3: Ship Them To Us

  •  SHIP THEM BACK TO US (FREE RENTAL RETURN SHIPPING LABEL)- Follow the steps below
    • Step 1: LOCATE YOUR RENTALS:
      • On the back of all of our rental books, there is a sticker with the due date.
      • If you are unsure of the rentals you have out, send an email to ColbyBooks@textbookbrokers.com with your name and phone number and we will email you back with the books you rented.
    • Step 2: BOX THEM UP
      • Please make sure that all items are packaged securely to prevent any damage during the shipping process. Fill any empty spaces with clean filler.
        • Textbook Brokers is not obligated to issue a refund for return shipments that are lost or damaged*.
      • Make sure to include as much information as possible so that we know who's return it is. Below is the information we can use to process your return:
        • Name (required)
        • Order number
        • Address
        • Email Address
        • Phone Number
    • Step 3: CREATE YOUR FREE SHIPPING LABEL
      • CLICK HERE, fill out the required information and a FREE FedEx return label will be emailed to you in minutes!
      • **PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND/OR JUNK FOLDERS IF YOU CANNOT FIND THE LABEL!!**
      • You will only be provided ONE free return label so, be sure to send all of your rentals back at once or you will be responsible for any additional shipping.
      • Make sure to have your Fall book package in the mail by May 14th to avoid late fees!

****If you used your free label and still have rentals, we recommend that you send your return via FedEx, UPS, or insurable U.S. Mail service. Then submit the tracking information via email to ColbyBooks@textbookbrokers.com.

Failure to return the rented materials by the rental return date printed on your receipt will result in the credit card on file to be charged a $10.00 late fee per book and the full retail price of the rented materials, minus the amount paid for the initial rental. The Bookstore’s refund policy applies for all rental materials.
